Paulo Rizzatto
Father of the Italian pop singer Gala, who sold over six million records worldwide. Paolo Rizzatto is a renowned Italian designer and architect. born in 1941 in Milan. He took his degree in Architecture in 1965 at the Milan Polytechnic. In his Milanese studio he works as a freelance in the fields of architecture, interior design and design. His works have been published in magazines, catalogues and books in Italy and abroad. During his career he also served many other prestigious companies from the furniture and lighting fields including Artemide, Cassina, Danese, Flos, Knoll, Kartell, Molteni, Philips, Poltrona Frau, Thonet, and others while recently, he completed a major urban intervention by entirely planning the area of the new “darsena” (2011-15), the ancient dock of Milan. He has won many awards, including four Premi Compassi d’oro in 1981, 1989, 1995, 2008 and 2011 and the International Competition of Design for the “Darsena di Milano” in 2004.
The name Paulo Rizzatto is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark.
